The Flat 1%, and What It Leaves Out
GMGN charges 1% per transaction and nothing else. The money that quietly leaves a GMGN wallet goes out through priority fees, tips and slippage, none of which GMGN collects and all of which you set yourself.

What Does GMGN Charge?
One fee covers the entire product surface. GMGN's documentation says it "only charges a 1% handling fee for a single transaction, and there are no additional charges," with a worked example of a 1 SOL trade paying 0.01 SOL. That rate applies on the buy and again on the sell, so a round trip costs 2% of the amount traded. DefiLlama describes the same rate from the outside, measuring $240,126,547 in lifetime user-paid fees at 1% per trade. Terms can change, so confirm the live values in the app before you size a trade.
Cost Summary
- Any buy or sell: 1% of the transaction
- Sniper bot, copy trades, limit orders: the same 1%, no surcharge
- Launching a token through Cooking: 0 from GMGN, the launchpad still charges its own
- Priority fee and tip: you set them, 0.0001 to 2 SOL each, not collected by GMGN
- Subscription or pro tier: does not exist
Verify before you trade: GMGN ships fast and its settings screens change. Confirm the current fee, slippage and Anti-MEV terms in the official GMGN fee documentation and in the app before sizing a position.
How GMGN Compares to Other Terminals
Nearly everyone in this category charges exactly 1%, which makes headline fee close to useless as a way to choose. GMGN, Photon, Trojan, Maestro and BONKbot all publish a flat 1% in their own documentation. Axiom is the exception: it starts at 1%, falls to 0.75% at its highest volume tier, and publishes a 10% fee discount for users who sign up through a referral link, so its effective rate is genuinely lower than GMGN's. The real differences are chain coverage and how much of the fee comes back. Over the 30 days to 2026-08-06 GMGN retained 80.4% of the fees it collected, paying 19.6% out to referrers; Photon paid out nothing at all.
| Terminal | Headline fee | Discount for referred users | Cashback or rebate |
|---|---|---|---|
| GMGN | 1% flat | None published | Referrer only, 10-30% |
| Photon | 1% flat | None published | None |
| Axiom | 1% before tiers | 10% off trading fees | Volume tiers down to 0.75% |
| Trojan | 1% | None published | Arena rank cashback, 10-35% |
| Maestro | 1% flat | None published | Volume cashback, 15-30% |
| BONKbot | 1% flat | None published | No published tier table |
Every rate read from each platform's own documentation on 2026-08-06. Maestro's $200 per month Premium plan buys features, not a lower rate: it still pays the same 1%. Rates change, so verify before trading.
What You Actually Pay on GMGN
GMGN publishes its own formula for the chain-side cost: on-chain fee equals priority fee plus tip fee plus gas. None of that reaches GMGN, which states plainly that priority and tip fees are paid to speed up processing and are not collected by it. The practical consequence is that a mis-set priority fee cannot be refunded by anyone, because GMGN never had the money. GMGN's own Q&A records a user who sold a total of 0.12 SOL while paying a 0.2 SOL priority fee, then asked support where the SOL went.
| Line item | Amount | Who receives it |
|---|---|---|
| GMGN handling fee | 1% of the transaction | GMGN |
| Priority fee | 0.0001 to 2 SOL, you set it | Validators |
| Tip fee | 0.0001 to 2 SOL, you set it | Private nodes |
| Gas | Network base cost | The network |
| Anti-MEV minimum | Priority fee of at least 0.002 SOL | Validators |
| Launchpad fee | Varies, e.g. 1% on Pump.fun | The launchpad |
Figures from the official GMGN fee documentation, read 2026-08-06. GMGN recommends a total on-chain fee of 0.002 to 0.005 SOL normally, 0.006 SOL or more for auto and limit orders.
Slippage Is the Real Cost
GMGN recommends auto slippage for manual trades, 30 to 35% for automated buys, sells and limit orders, and 50% or more for new or hot tokens. Those numbers are not a fee, they are an authorization: setting 50% tells the router that a fill half a level below the quote is acceptable. On a thin pool that is what you get, and it dwarfs the 1%. GMGN's profit and loss display makes it harder to see, because the documented formula is realized plus unrealized profit with no fee term in it. A position that reads as flat has already cost you 2% in handling fees plus whatever the settings took, which is why reconciling against the transaction hash on a block explorer is worth the minute it takes.
The Referral Is Not a Discount
GMGN's referral program pays the referrer 10% to 30% of the fees GMGN collects, with the rate negotiated rather than published as a tier table. No discount, rebate or bonus for the referred user appears anywhere in GMGN's documentation. Our link carries the code ggguide, which pays this site and changes nothing about your rate. Third-party sites advertising 70% to 90% effective fees or an "80% cashback" are rebating part of their own commission under a private arrangement GMGN neither publishes nor guarantees. As an independent check on the headline rate, DefiLlama measures actual referral outflows at 19.6% of fees over 30 days and 14.7% all time, so the 30% ceiling is a rate almost nobody is on.
Real-World Cost Examples
- 1 SOL buy: 0.01 SOL handling fee, GMGN's own worked example
- 1 SOL round trip: 0.02 SOL in handling fees, before on-chain fees on both legs
- 0.1 SOL buy at GMGN's recommended 0.006 SOL on-chain fee: 0.001 SOL to GMGN plus 0.006 SOL to the chain, or 7% of the trade on the buy alone
- 0.05 SOL buy with Anti-MEV on: the 0.002 SOL priority-fee floor alone is 4% of the position
The pattern is consistent: the smaller the trade, the less the 1% matters and the more the settings do. Fixed on-chain costs do not scale down with position size, so the same configuration that is sensible on a 5 SOL entry is punitive on a 0.05 SOL punt. Frequently Asked Questions
A flat 1% per transaction, charged on the buy and again on the sell. GMGN documentation states that it only charges a 1% handling fee for a single transaction and there are no additional charges, with a worked example of a 1 SOL trade paying 0.01 SOL. Network gas plus the priority fee and tip you set are separate, and neither of those is collected by GMGN.
No. The same 1% covers manual buys on the web terminal, sniper-bot buys in Telegram, copy trades, limit orders and automated take-profit or stop-loss fills. GMGN states the cost of a copied trade as one formula: buying or selling amount, plus gas and priority fee, plus a 1% GMGN handling fee, with no other factors. Launching a token through the Cooking feature costs nothing on GMGN side, though the launchpad still takes its own cut.
Almost always because of your own settings. The priority fee and tip are user-set and go to validators and private nodes rather than to GMGN, and GMGN recommends 0.006 SOL or more of on-chain fees for automated orders, which is 6% of a 0.1 SOL buy before anything else. Slippage is the bigger cost: GMGN recommends 30 to 35% for automated orders and 50% or more for new tokens, and that setting authorizes execution far below the price you were quoted.
No. GMGN documentation states that priority and tip fees are paid to speed up transaction processing and are not collected by GMGN. The priority fee goes to validators and the tip goes to private nodes. Each has a minimum of 0.0001 SOL and a maximum of 2 SOL. Network gas is likewise a chain cost. Because GMGN never receives any of it, nobody at GMGN can refund a mis-set priority fee.
No. GMGN documented profit and loss formula is realized profit plus unrealized profit, with no fee term in it, so the number you see is price-based rather than a full accounting of the trade. Your 1% handling fee on each side, the priority fee, the tip and the slippage cost are not broken out. To reconcile what a trade really cost, look up the transaction hash on a block explorer, which is what GMGN own documentation tells users to do.
Not on headline rate. GMGN, Photon, Trojan, BONKbot and Maestro all charge exactly 1%, per their own documentation. Axiom starts at 1% and falls to 0.75% at its highest volume tier, and it publishes a 10% fee discount for users who sign up through a referral link, so Axiom effective rate is lower than GMGN. What separates the terminals is chain coverage and what comes back to the user, not the sticker price.
No. GMGN referral program pays the referrer a commission out of the fees GMGN collects, and no discount, rebate or bonus for the referred user appears anywhere in GMGN documentation. Anyone advertising a GMGN fee discount is either rebating part of their own commission privately, which GMGN does not publish or guarantee, or is not telling the truth. Your fee is 1% either way.

Methodology and reuse
The GMGN rates on this page are the flat 1% handling fee charged on every transaction, plus the priority fee, tip fee and slippage settings that sit around it and are not collected by GMGN. They were read from the official GMGN fee documentation on and re-verified against the live app. Exchanges change their schedules, so treat any figure older than that date as needing a fresh check — the date above is the one to compare against.
